The unique Microprocessor based Integrated Sensor Transmitter (MIST), is a RTD temperature sensor built with a integral 4 to 20mA transmitter hermetically sealed in a stainless steel adapter that is only 0.64 inch in diameter and only 2 inches long. The transmitter is a highly stable, isolated and has a linearized output which produces an industry standard 4 to 20mA signal. MIST Sensors have a wide temperature measuring range of -200 to 600C (-328 to +1112F), two constructions are available both constructions use a class B, Pt100 RTD sensor and 316 Stainless Steel sheath. Low temperature applications (below +200C) a tube construction in either a 1/4" or 3/16" diameter is used, for high temperature applications compacted MgO in either a 1/4" or 3/16" diameter, the MIST have a maximum pressure rating of 1500 PSIG. One further advantage of the MIST Sensor is that the electronics are hermetically sealed and contained within the sensor in applications where moisture is a problem with conventional field transmitter assemblies, the MIST offers a perfect alternative solution.

The MIST Series are available Factory scaled and calibrated to 20 common temperature ranges these standard temperature ranges are suitable for most common RTD applications. As the MIST are fully programmable, they can be factory calibrated to your specific needs or with the optional MIST-Isoft calibration module and PC based software recalibration can be done in the field.
